Deep-Fried Ice Cream.
With a fellow Londoner, I encountered deep-fried vanilla and chocolate ice-cream at the Lexington Avenue Fall Street Fair in Manhattan. Shocked and appalled, we were told that it was a classic American dish, and that the room temperature batter paired with the centre of slightly molten ice-cream was absolutely irrefusable.
No thank you Yanks. Brits abroad would rather stick to what we know on this one.

I feel the need to share a particularly hysterical instagram account with all of those people out there that are becoming increasingly frustrated by the annoying "foodie pics" skinny bombshells insist on uploading to prove that they DO infact eat things. The #ydnet bloggers have attracted thousands of followers, making a mockery of celebrities such as Heidi Montag and Bar Rafaeli, who embarrassingly upload pictures of themselves holding food near their mouths (but curiously never seeming to actually be eating it).
